Arches are an old trick for making a table feel like part of the building. The Arcade has a pale, linear-grained sintered-stone top in cream that recalls honed travertine, trimmed with a fine matte bronze edge that is barely there.
The walnut base is made as two arched frames, one under each end, with arches cut into the legs so the structure reads like a small piece of arcade. The timber is rounded at every edge for a soft handle and the feet are squared off flat. Guests can sit at the sides and ends without a leg blocking them.
Construction
- Sintered-stone top, pale cream with linear grain
- Fine matte bronze metal edge
- Walnut base made as arched end frames
- Concealed levelling feet
It is at home in a hotel restaurant with plastered walls, arched openings or timber joinery. Use it in a long row for a wine-bar dining room or singly in a private dining room.
