A lobby café or afternoon-tea lounge needs seats people will settle into for an hour, at tables high enough to eat from. This set covers both.
The tub chairs are fully upholstered, with a rounded back that slopes down into rolled arms and deep button tufting across the inside back and seat. A loose scatter cushion adds lumbar support. One chair is shown in forest green velvet, two in cream, a mix that works well when a room has many small tables.
The table has a round white stone top with soft grey veining. Its base is a cone of walnut capped with a brass collar under the top and set on a broad brass disc, which keeps the table steady when guests lean on it.
