This piece sits between a booth and a sofa. It has the square, upright profile and seat height of restaurant booth seating, but it is freestanding and finished on all sides, so it can float in a lounge or stand back to back with another unit.
The back and seat are divided into wide vertical channels. Leather straps in a contrasting tone wrap over the top of the back and around the arms, each fastened with a metal buckle, a detail borrowed from luggage. A long cylindrical bolster in an oatmeal linen-look fabric, with leather end bands, lies across the seat as a back cushion. A slim brass rail runs along the top of the back, useful as a hand rail or to hang a coat.
