This is the same runner-frame lounge chair as our Saffron Garden, here in a dark print for evening rooms. The fabric is near-black, densely printed with tropical leaves, bright flowers and birds in green, coral, violet and white. In low bar lighting the background drops away and the colors stand out, much like a botanical wallcovering.
The frame is solid timber stained black. On each side, one continuous angled loop forms the arm and the leg, and a cross rail at the back holds the back cushion. The seat and back are firm upholstered blocks, comfortable for a long drink without being too soft.

Use it in hotel bars, speakeasy-style lounges and late-opening lobby bars. A dark print forgives spills and marks that would show on a pale fabric, which helps in rooms that turn over through the night. Pair it with plain velvet sofas or leather banquettes in a color pulled from the print.
