Window lines and the back of a hotel bar are often too shallow for a dining booth. A counter-height banquette puts guests there at a raised height that keeps them at eye level with people standing at the bar.
The seat is 24 in (61 cm) high and 19 in (48 cm) deep, with a 45 in (115 cm) back. A brass footrail about 1.5 in (4 cm) in diameter, set 10 in (25 cm) above the floor, gives feet support. The upholstered body sits on a flat black-steel frame that projects slightly beyond it to create a floating shadow line.
