Here the channels are wide and generous: five on the back, matched by five on the seat, so each sitter has clear, ribbed support. The arms are tall, squared track arms set flush with the outside of the frame and slightly higher than the back cushions, which gives the sofa a crisp, architectural outline.
The photograph shows it in a warm taupe velvet in front of a wood-panelled wall, next to a travertine side table. The sofa stands on short recessed feet, so it reads as a solid block from across the room.
Where it fits
- Against a wall in a lobby lounge, facing two chairs
- In restaurant waiting areas and private dining anterooms
- In lift lobbies on club floors, where space is narrow
Construction
- Hardwood and plywood frame, corner-blocked
- Springs and HR foam; channels filled individually so they stay full
- Contract velvet shown; COM/COL
For a busy lobby we recommend a performance velvet in a mid-tone, which hides wear better than very pale or very dark colours. The same profile can be drawn as a three-seater or as a lounge chair.
