The Terracotta Tub is soft in every line. The back rises highest at the centre and slopes down into rounded arms. The outer shell curves continuously around the chair, and the seat is a thick cushion with a welted edge. From behind it is a single smooth curve with a light vertical seam. That matters for lobby layouts, where chairs are often seen from behind.
It is covered in a terracotta microsuede-type fabric with a brushed nap. The nap gives a rich, shifting color but shows brush marks, which some designers like and others do not; a flat-weave velvet or leather is available for a more even look.
