A slipper chair has no arms, which makes it easy to fit into tight lobby groupings and comfortable to sit in sideways. This one has a generous arched back that leans gently and a thick, rounded seat cushion that bulges forward like a pillow. Two vertical channels in the lower back add a little shape and stop the cover from wrinkling.
The fabric is a rust-orange velvet with an abstract woven pattern of short light strokes. It reads as plain from across a room and textured up close, and like most patterned velvets it hides wear well.
The chair sits on a low brushed-brass plinth inset from the edges, so the upholstery appears to float. The plinth is a steel frame clad in brass-finished sheet, with glides underneath.

Use a pair in front of a window, or one beside a sofa as an accent chair. In a lobby bar it gives guests a comfortable seat without the bulk of a full club chair.
