Historic hotels and new buildings with curved facades often have walls that standard banquettes cannot follow, and site-built seating rarely looks right. The Rotunda is drawn to the surveyed wall, including variable-radius curves that tighten from about 118 in to 59 in (300 to 150 cm) along their length.
The seat front stays a constant distance from the back all the way along the curve, so every position is equally comfortable. The upholstered back runs unbroken, and the brass trim bends with the changing radius.
