This chair is a small piece of sculpture for a lobby. On one side, a thick cylindrical arm runs forward over the seat and then curves down to the floor to act as a leg. On the other side, a shorter bolster arm floats above the seat. The body of the chair is a solid upholstered block with a gently curved front, cut away underneath on the cantilevered side so you can see light under the seat.
The back is a squared cushion with rounded edges, slightly raked for comfort. Everything is covered in a soft cream velvet with a short pile.
Construction
- Hardwood and plywood frame with a steel insert in the cantilevered arm
- HR foam with fibre wrap on all surfaces
- Cream velvet shown; any contract fabric, COM accepted
- Glides on the base and arm foot
Place it where it can be seen from more than one side, such as at the end of a lounge group or beside a window. The same frame is also made in our gold streak and mottled velvet ranges, so a cream chair can sit beside patterned ones.
