This host stand is upholstered rather than built in stone or veneer. The body is wrapped in tall vertical flutes of deep-green woven fabric, divided by fine bronze-tone welts, which soften the entrance and help absorb a little noise in a hard lobby. A solid walnut top with rounded corners overhangs the body slightly, and a recessed brushed-brass plinth lifts it off the floor and protects the base from cleaning machines.
It can be made to the same fluted pattern and fabric as banquettes in the outlet, so the entrance and the dining room match.
Construction
- Plywood carcass, upholstered fluted front and sides
- Solid walnut top, sealed for daily use
- Brushed-brass plinth
- Staff side with shelf and cable outlet for a POS or reservation tablet
Use it at restaurant and bar entrances, as a maître d' station in a hotel restaurant or as a check-in point for a spa or club floor. Standard heights follow host-stand practice, around 40-42 in (102-107 cm) at the guest side, with the exact height and storage set on the shop drawing.
