One fabric, several frames. This collection lets a designer furnish a whole lobby lounge with different chair shapes that still belong together, because every piece wears the same checkerboard velvet in brown, caramel and cream.
Frame shapes shown
- Swivel tub chair with a continuous rounded back and arms, on a recessed black plinth
- Slipper chair with a tall rounded back on a brushed-brass plinth
- Club chair with puffed bolster arms that sit on a deep base
- Low cloud chair with wrap-around arms on short dark feet
- Sculptural tub with a winged arm on one side and a scatter cushion
- Armless slipper chair on four light wood legs
The check is woven into a cut velvet, so it shows a slight tonal shift as the light changes. Patterned covers like this are practical in public areas: they hide marks and wear far better than a plain pale fabric.
Construction
- Hardwood and plywood frames, moulded foam shells on rounded pieces
- HR foam seats; swivel mechanism with return on request
- Covers in this check or any contract fabric, COM accepted
Mix two or three shapes in one zone, with a plain fabric sofa as the anchor.
