This loveseat is the anchor piece for our checkerboard lounge chairs. Three fat channels run up the back and three across the seat, each one filled separately so it stays plump. The arms are thick, squared tubes that run straight back from the front and drop down at the corners into block legs.
Two companion chairs are shown in the same velvet: a compact swivel tub chair with a curved back on a slim pale plinth, and a sloped-back armchair whose high side curves down into wrapped arms, with a matching scatter cushion. Together the three make a complete lobby group.
Construction
- Hardwood and plywood frame; channel cushions filled individually
- HR foam with fibre wrap for a soft, rounded edge
- Upholstered block legs with floor glides
- Checkerboard velvet shown; any contract fabric, COM accepted
Why specify a check? In heavily used lobbies, multi-tone patterns disguise wear, crumbs and small stains between cleanings much better than plain fabric. The scale here is small enough to work on the tight curves of the chairs and the long runs of the loveseat.
