This sofa pairs a plain velvet shell with a printed seat. The back and the low base are rust velvet; the back rises at one end, wraps the corner as an arm, and then steps down so the seat can run on into an open, rounded chaise end. The long seat cushion is a cream fabric printed with leaves, flowers and birds in rust, teal and black, edged with rust piping. A matching printed scatter cushion completes it.
The chaise end makes the sofa suitable for a freestanding position in a lobby lounge, where guests can sit at the end facing in, or for a window where people stretch out with a book.
Construction
- Curved hardwood and plywood frame with a recessed plinth
- HR foam seat with fibre wrap; piped edges
- Rust velvet and botanical print shown; COM accepted for both
- Left- or right-hand chaise
Printed seats in public areas need a fabric with good abrasion performance and a stain-resistant finish. We suggest matching the print to a performance base cloth or using a woven jacquard of a similar design, and we send strike-offs for approval.
